This property was purchased as a personal project. Built in 1870, we wanted to retain the character and feel of a farmhouse with some modern touches.
The kitchen was opened into the living area and skylights installed to create light and warmth. The kitchen cupboards, to give a rustic look, were built in concrete and stone, offset with a stainless steel industrial fridge and appliances.
A rooftop deck was built to create a sheltered outdoor area with spectacular views of Table Mountain. Indoor the original farmhouse kitchen fireplace was restored in the lounge area to remind of the history of the building.
